On Friday May 13th, 2011 Saving Grace Tattoo held a fundraiser to benefit those affected in Japan by the recent Earthquake/Tsunami.
To our great satisfication we had a blast and are happy to say that we raised $1,055.00, not bad for one tattooer, which will all be going to the Red Cross of Canada "Japan Earthquake/Asia-Pacific Tsunami" relief fund. Check them out, they are doing awesome work!
During the course of the day people got their first tattoo ever,
some not so,
and everybody tipped a cup to the cause!
In all I definitely need to thank my wife Kim for keeping everybody in check, yeah that's her, classy lady eh!
Of course there's Sidni, the lady behind the camera...there you are! Uhmm, she's also classy.
Last but not least, Eikon Device for providing disposables, Barefoot Wine for the amazing vino, Kokkino Cafe for keeping us wired with java, CUTV and TOAL for all the promo, Dave Allen at Tattooers for Japan (TFJ), for promoting such a worthwhile cause, and to all the people of Japan for their tenacity during such a difficult period.
If there is anybody out there that still hasn't made a contribution please do so, every dollar helps, I mean even a loonie, through the IRC.
Peace and don't forget to check out the TFJ website often for events being held in your city!
JAPAN LOVES YOU!!!
Alex K'eh
